Are you waiting for the perfect time to start getting healthy?

I see so many people in their 30’s, 40’s or 50’s that are in terrible shape and are unsure what they should do about it.

I don’t typically bug them, but as a business owner I try to spread the word about the gym. So offering RebelFit’s services to people who might need it, is not only good important for people’s health it’s also good business.

The most common replies I hear is, “yeah I really have been meaning to get back to the gym, but well you know!”

Waiting for the right time to start a better workout routine or join a gym in order to be healthier reminds me of an ancient Chinese proverb;

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."

Let's take a specific example.

I have a toddler, so I spend plenty of time at parks and other places hanging out with people that have ZERO time.

This past Saturday I was standing next to a guy in his late 30’s. We were both pushing our boys on the swing, climbing around the play-set and running around the soccer field chasing children with no off button.

Soon this began to wear on him. So he asked me what I do that keeps me in shape? My answer, 20 years ago I started running, lifting weights and biking. Now I simply lift a little and spend a lot of time walking.

I have spent the last two decades laying a  foundation of physical well-being that allows me to be in shape all the time.

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."

At RebelFit NH we have a mish-mash of member ages, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s (any age, in fact). Think about it this way, if the 20 somethings stay on top of their health they will be in cruise control throughout life, they will have successfully planted a tree.

But what about you, are you a 40 something and worried about getting started?

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."

There is a huge amount of wisdom in these lines.
